The Buffaloes are 3-1 (0-1) up to this point and are coming off a disappointing 42-6 road loss last Saturday when they faced the Oregon Ducks.

USC Trojans
The USC Trojans have been an outstanding offensive team throughout the season as they are leading the country with 55 points while being third with 377.3 passing yards per game. The connection between junior quarterback Caleb Williams and coach Lincoln Riley are in their third season together as they transferred before last season from Oklahoma to USC. Williams has been looking like he is in a prime position to win his second consecutive Heisman Trophy as he is 75-of-101 (74.3 completion percentage) for 1,200 yards with 15 passing touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has an incredible wide receiver talent and this could be an amazing test for them here.
The defense of the Utes has been nothing short of phenomenal as they are allowing just 9.5 points on 263.8 total yards per game. They completely dominated the UCLA Bruins as they gave up seven points on 243 total yards. UCLA went just 3-of-17 on third down and recorded just 11 first downs. The defense was able to force turnovers as well as they finished with a forced fumble and an interception so they need to continue their dominance on this side of the ball to win games.
Colorado Buffaloes
The Colorado Buffaloes are doing a pretty solid job to begin the season as they are scoring 32.5 points on 409 total yards per game. They have been led by excellent quarterback play by junior Shedeur Sanders as he is 130-of-169 (76.9 completion percentage) for 1,410 yards with 11 passing touchdowns and one interception. However, their issues have been the offensive line as they have given up 22 sacks through four games. Oregon was able to record seven sacks against them and the injuries to Travis Hunter while also having Xavier Weaver on the injury report. This will definitely be a great test against them.
The defense of the Buffaloes needs to show improvement as they are giving up 33.3 points on 475.8 total yards per game. They have two of their best secondary options that possibly will miss this game as Shilo Sanders (kidney) and Travis Hunter (liver) and that deeply weakens the secondary. It’s a huge plus as they have forced seven interceptions, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. Colorado is coming off a game where they allowed six touchdowns in the first seven drives so they need to find a way to get stops here.
