Cowboys vs. Cardinals Key Stats

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have been putting a lot of points on the board as they are averaging 35 points on 327 total yards per game. Quarterback Dak Prescott is doing very well as he is not turning the ball over as he is 44-of-62 (71.0 completion percentage) for 398 yards with two touchdowns without an interception while running seven times for 20 yards. Running back Tony Pollard has become the top running back for the team and dominating early as he has 39 rushing attempts for 142 yards (3.6 yards per carry) with two rushing touchdowns while having nine receptions for 49 yards and a fumble. With All-Pro offensive guard Zack Martin and center Tyler Biadasz on the injury report, they could give up a good amount of pressure in this game.

The defense has been one of the top units in the entire NFL as they are giving up five points on 371 total yards per game. This defense is allowing just a 50.9 completion percentage, which is the second-best in the NFL and their five interceptions as a team is the best in NFL through two weeks. Linebacker Micah Parsons has been doing incredibly well as a NFL MVP candidate as he has three sacks, four tackles for loss, one pass deflection, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. With cornerback Trevon Diggs out for the season with a torn ACL in practice and safety Jayron Kearse on the injury report, their secondary could struggle a bit more going forward.

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have been doing better than people expected offensively as they are averaging 22 points on 303.5 total yards per game. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs has been playing decently well as he is 42-of-61 (68.9 completion percentage) for 360 yards with a touchdown without an interception while running six times for 38 yards and a rushing touchdown. Running back James Conner also is playing very well as he has 37 rushes for 168 yards (4.5 yards per carry) with a rushing touchdown while also having five receptions for eight yards. Their offense is healthy and need to continue playing well if they want to pull off the upset.

The Cardinals defense has been struggling a bit as they are giving up 25.5 points on 371 total yards per game. Despite the lack of talent, they are tied for third in the NFL with nine sacks as a team and are being led by linebacker Dennis Gardeck. He has three sacks and a forced fumble so far this season and need to figure out how to do well as they have safety Budda Baker on Injured Reserve and a few players questionable on this side of the ball.
