Miami at San Diego 9:40 PM EST
Line: Marlins -115
Pitching Match-up: Luzardo (L) vs Martinez (R)
Easy winner for us last night with Over Cincinnati / Milwaukee as they only scored 22 runs in that game, so we hope you guys out there made some money off that one. We also hit our 5* NBA Play on the Suns as it was a great Wednesday.
Tonight, there is no NBA on the board so we will look at this National League match-up between the Marlins and Padres. If you want to see a bad situation for a professional sports team, look no further than what the Padres are dealing with here.
They are returning home after a 9-game road trip that took them across the country and because of the rainout on Tuesday, they had to play a double header yesterday against Cleveland, which they split.
In the two games they used a combined 10 pitchers, and the 2nd game went into extra innings. That is a lot of baseball to play to then have to turn around and get on a 6-hour flight through different time zones.
Yes, Miami had to travel as well but their game ended way earlier yesterday and while they come in on a 4-game losing streak, they are catching a very tired Padres team. They also have a pitching advantage in this game as Luzardo has been good this season, coming in with a 3.10 ERA. Martinez is 1-2 on the season with a 4.12 ERA and he has not seen the 6th inning in a Major League Baseball game since 2017.
That does not bode well for the Padres who have an exhausted pitching staff right now. Luzardo is coming off a solid start in his last outing as he went 6 innings vs the Mariners and allowed only 2 hits and 1 earned run.
Add all of this up and we should see an easy Marlins win tonight.
