Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings (10/9 @ 1:00 PM EST.)

Line: Vikings (-7)
Total: 43.5

Bears vs. Vikings Breakdown and Betting Odds

The 2-2 Bears travel to Minnesota to take on the 3-1 Vikings in an NFC North battle. The Vikings only loss this season was to the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on the road.

The Vikings are 7-point favorites, and the over/under is set at 43.5.

Home field advantage is a factor in this game. The Vikings are undefeated at home, and the Bears have yet to win a road game in 2022.

Chicago Bears Overview

Quarterback Justin Fields is off to a shaky start in his second NFL season with two touchdown passes and four interceptions. He has only completed 34 passes on the season and has occasionally missed wide open receivers.

The Bears defense is also struggling. It could not contain Daniel Jones, Tyrod Taylor, or Saquon Barkley in Week 4. Not only did the league’s rushing leader Barkley run the ball, but he also took some quarterback snaps after the other QBs left the game.

Minnesota has even more offensive weapons than the Giants so it could be a long day for the Bears.

Minnesota Vikings Overview

The Vikings are coming off a big Week 4 28-25 win over the New Orleans Saints in London.

This high-powered offense has scored at least 23 points in every win they had this season, and this could be the week that running back Dalvin Cook records his first 100-yard rushing performance in 2022. He knocked on the door with 96 yards in the Week 3 win over the Detroit Lions.

Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson are connecting in big ways once again in 2022; Jefferson averages 14 yards per catch and has two touchdowns. Adam Thielen is another big target for Cousins. He is averaging 10.5 yards per reception with one touchdown catch.

TakingVegas.com Pick: Vikings (-7)

It will be a tall order for the Bears to keep up with the Vikings if Kirk Cousins, who has over 1,000 yards passing in four weeks, gets off to a quick start and makes this an offensive shootout. The Bears’ highest scoring day was in Week 3 against the Houston Texans when they put 23 points on the board. In their two losses to Green Bay and the New York Giants, they put up 10 and 12 points, respectively.
