#2 Alabama vs. South Carolina Betting Odds Breakdown

The Alabama Crimson Tide will be meeting up with South Carolina for a game on Wednesday.

Alabama is coming into this game as the favorite at -17.5, and the over/under is sitting at 147.5 points.

Alabama Preview

Alabama is coming into this game at 23-4, which has them ranked number one in the nation.

In Alabama’s last game, they took a pretty easy win over the Georgia Bulldogs. They were able to dominate them over the course of the game, with them getting a 108-59 victory. Brandon Miller put up another great performance with 21 points, and other players like Mark Sears and Nick Pringle put up close to 20 points each. In fact, their offense has been pretty good for most of the season, with them putting up about 83 points on the board per game. But, the story for Alabama for most of the season has been their defense.

Going into this game, it seems like Alabama has the advantage all across the board, especially on defense. Alabama’s defense has been one of the best in all of college basketball, and they have even been able to stop teams from scoring at least 60 points on six occasions throughout the whole season. That may not seem like a lot, but holding teams to less than 60 points six different times throughout a season is not an easy task, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they dominate South Carolina on the defensive side of the ball.

South Carolina Preview

South Carolina is sitting at 10-17 on the season, and they might have a difficult time with Alabama in this one.

South Carolina took a nine point victory over LSU their last time out, and it was a pretty solid game for them all around. Their offense was solid, with GG Jackson and Meechie Johnson Jr. both having 20 points each. Along with them, Jacobi Wright put up 18 points and Hayden Brown had 16 points. Their starters did some nice work on the offensive side of the ball, and their defense wasn’t too bad, either.

Against LSU, South Carolina’s defense was able to put on a good performance. They had LSU shooting about only 42 percent from the field, and their perimeter defense also wasn’t too bad at all, with LSU shooting about 33 percent from there. They had a good day on defense, but South Carolina will still have to come out ready in this game. Alabama’s offense is much better than LSU’s and they should put up a bigger fight on offense than what LSU did.

Winner Prediction: Alabama -17.5

Alabama is ranked number one in the whole nation, and it’s definitely for a good reason.

They have looked dominant for most of this season, and you should expect them to get the win over South Carolina.
