Philadelphia 76ers vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Odds Breakdown

The Philadelphia 76ers are going to be kicking off a west coast trip on Friday with a matchup with the Warriors.

The Warriors  are coming into this game as the favorite at -6, and the over/under is sitting at  points. Along with that, the moneyline is sitting at -140 for Philadelphia and +120 for Golden State.

Philadelphia 76ers Preview

Philadelphia is sitting at 49-23, which has them sitting at third place in the eastern conference.

The 76ers have looked like one of the best teams in the whole league for a while now, and they have caught fire at the perfect time. They are 8-2 in their last ten games, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them make a deep run into the playoffs. Their defense has stepped up in their past ten games, with them even being able to hold their opponents to less than 100 points on three separate occasions, which is no easy task, especially with how much more offense there is in the NBA now from previous years. They have also been shooting the ball really well, with them shooting about 52 percent from the field in their last ten games. They have played very well recently, so we’ll see if they can carry this into the playoffs.

The last time the 76ers met up with the Warriors was back in December, and they were able to get the victory by the score of 118-106. Now in this game, they did have the luxury of facing the Warriors while Stephen Curry was out, but they won’t be so lucky this time around. But, the 76ers have just gotten better and better as the season has gone on, so this one should be competitive either way. They will also have to find a way to beat the Warriors in Golden State, which not many teams have been able to do this season, because the Warriors are 29-7 at home this season. But what’s not lucky for Philadelphia is that both James Harden and Joel Embiid are listed as doubtful for this game. That’s going to be a huge loss for them if they don’t play in this one, and it is going to make it much more difficult to win.

Golden State Warriors Preview

The reigning NBA champions are coming into this game at 37-37, which has them at seventh place in the western conference.

In Golden State’s last game against Philadelphia, the biggest thing that they ended up struggling with were the amount of times they let the 76ers get to the free throw line. The 76ers are a team that already gets to the line a lot,  but the fact that the Warriors only made 11 free throws compared to Philadelphia’s 25 did not help them out at all. It’s just about impossible to keep the 76ers away from the foul line, but they will still need to find a way to cut down the amount of free throw attempts that Philadelphia has.

The biggest advantage for the Warriors in this one is that they will be able to play at home. It’s impressive how much of a difference that a home crowd makes for Golden State, because as said before, the Warriors are 29-7 at home, while they are 8-30 for games that they play on the road. It’s a huge difference for them, and they have even been able to knock off some of the best teams in the league at home, with them even being able to get the best of the Bucks a few weeks back. It’s impressive how much of a difference there is, so we’ll see if that trend continues here.
