Buffalo Bills Preview
Buffalo is coming off of a win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day, and they will be trying to keep it up against the Patriots.
Buffalo barely beat Detroit last time out, and Josh Allen will have to play better in this game. It’s not that he played badly, but he was pretty inefficient by throwing 24/42 with 253 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Once again, he didn’t play poorly, but he has to be much more efficient against the Patriots because they will be a much more difficult team to face than the Detroit Lions.
Surprisingly, the Bills had trouble guarding the passing game of the Lions. Jared Goff was able to go 23/37 with 247 yards and two touchdowns. Like Allen, he wasn’t too efficient with 14 incompletions, but he was able to give the Lions a chance in that game. And going into this Lions game, you can make the case that Mac Jones could play very well in this game based off of that, because Jones is a pretty solid quarterback. However, Buffalo is a pretty good team, and they should be able to make these adjustments to give themselves a chance.
New England Patriots Preview
New England is coming off of a loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and it won’t be easy for them to bounce back against the Buffalo Bills.
For New England, they should be excited about their offense, especially with Mac Jones and how good he played, throwing 28/39 382 yards and two touchdowns. That’s a pretty solid game, and the Patriots should feel encouraged going into this game against the Buffalo Bills. However, facing the Bills is not an easy task for any team, and they need to clean up their defense going into this game.
Against the Vikings, Kirk Cousins was able to dominate the Patriots’ defense. The only time they were able to stop him was with a Jonathan Jones interception, but other than that, they couldn’t really stop him, with Kirk Cousins throwing for 299 yards and three touchdowns on 30/37 passes completed. And obviously, he had that one interception. He was able to get to that defense, and Josh Allen could be able to do the same, because he is easily one of the best quarterbacks in the game right now.
