Boise State Vs. Nevada Betting Odds Breakdown

Boise State and Nevada will be meeting up late in the college football season, and Nevada will be looking to improve their record before their season comes to an end.

Boise State is coming in as the heavy favorite at -21, while the over/under is sitting at 46.5 points.

Boise State Preview

Boise State is coming off of a close loss to BYU, and they’ll be looking to bounce back against Nevada.

Boise State’s offense didn’t do too bad against BYU, but they need to start executing in big spots. Their defense was able to get two interceptions on QB Jaren Hall, but they still fell short by three points. However, their offense seemed to be more than capable of getting points up on the board, with Taylen Green having two passing touchdowns and George Holani having two rushing touchdowns. For Boise State, it just comes down to executing in the right moments.

Boise State’s defense was able to get a couple of interceptions against BYU, but they weren’t able to stop them in any other way. Although they picked Jaren Hall off twice, he had 377 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. Along with that, Jaren Hall also led the team in rushing yards with 82, and he also had a rushing touchdown. They need to clean that up against Nevada. But luckily for Boise State, Nevada’s offense is not as good as BYU.

Nevada Preview

Nevada is on a five game losing streak right now, and it’s going to be difficult for them to clean up their play before the season ends.

Nevada had an ugly loss last time out against Hawaii, and they’re going to have another difficult matchup with Boise State. Their offense didn’t even play all that bad against Hawaii, it’s just that Hawaii’s offense performed much better. Nevada was only able to get into the end zone once with a Devonte Lee touchdown, and they didn’t do much else other than kick field goals. They were able to move the ball well, but their defense really struggled.

The biggest problem for Nevada against Hawaii was their inability to defend the running game. Hawaii running back Dedrick Parson ended the game 136 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. Even the backup Tylan Hines had 70 yards on 12 carries. That’s just an ugly defensive day for Nevada, and it won’t be easy for them to make a change against Boise State with how effective their run game has been.

Winner Prediction: Boise State -21

There is no reason for Boise State to not get the win over Nevada.

Boise State should be able to get a dominant win over Nevada with how many struggles they are having this season.
