Milwaukee Bucks Preview
Milwaukee is off to a solid start this season, and they will be looking to keep it going against the Dallas Mavericks.
All around, this Bucks team is very good. Aside from the Boston Celtics, the Milwaukee Bucks have the best record in the league. And most of that has to do with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis has been magnificent this season, with him averaging about 32 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. And going into this game against Dallas, he should be confident because it doesn’t feel like the Mavericks have anybody on their team that could truly stop him.
Milwaukee’s defense has simply been one of the best in the entire league. They’re ranked second in the whole league in defensive efficiency, only behind the Cleveland Cavaliers. Along with that, they also rank number three in the whole league for the amount of points they let up per game, with it sitting at just at 107.8. They’re defense is really good, and if they can contain Luka Dončić, they are going to have a very good chance to get the win over Dallas.
Dallas Mavericks Preview
Dallas is coming into this game after a win over the Denver Nuggets, and they will be looking to keep it up against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The biggest reason that the Mavericks have a decent record early on in the season is because of Luka Dončić. He has shown that he is one of the best players in the league this season, and he will undoubtedly be in the MVP conversation with him averaging about 33 points and almost 9 rebounds and assists per game. Other than Luka, a lot of Dallas players are streaky. You never know when someone on that team will have a great game, and with how good Milwaukee’s defense is, this could be a difficult game for Dallas on the offensive side of the ball.
Luckily for Dallas, their defense has performed well this season. They’re ranked 12th in defensive efficiency this season, and they are also ranked fourth in the entire league for opponent points per game at 108.7 points. Their defense is solid, but the biggest question for them is how they will stop Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis is difficult to guard for any team, and the Mavericks don’t seem to have anyone that could have a legitimate shot at slowing him down. Christian Wood could give it a try, but it won’t be easy either way.
