Clemson vs. North Carolina Betting Odds Breakdown

Clemson and North Carolina are meeting up for the final game of their seasons.

Clemson is coming into this game as the favorite at -7, and the over/under is sitting at 61.5 points.

Clemson Preview

Clemson’s small chance at making the playoffs were crushed at the hands of South Carolina last week, and they’ll try to bounce back.

The biggest thing Clemson has to overcome might be how discouraged they are going into this game. They took a brutal 31-30 loss to South Carolina last week, which pretty much completely eliminated Clemson from making the college football playoffs. Their chances were already slim, but it had to of hurt to lose in that fashion. But, something that has to be fixed no matter what is the performance of D.J. Uiagelei. He threw 8/29 with one interception against South Carolina, and that has to change if they want to beat North Carolina.

Luckily for Clemson, their defense is still very solid. This should be a fun matchup to watch, since North Carolina’s offense is pretty good. We’ll get a chance to see if Clemson’s defense will be able to stop a solid offense. If Clemson’s defense can keep North Carolina’s offense under control, Clemson will have a very good chance to get the win in this game.

North Carolina Preview

North Carolina is coming off of a close loss to North Carolina State, so they’ll try to bounce back against Clemson.

North Carolina is sitting at 9-3 on the season, and it feels like they haven’t been tested very much this season. The only ranked team they have faced this season is Notre Dame, in which they gave up 45 points, which also led to a loss. They’ve also lost two in a row to Georgia Tech and North Carolina State, so they are on a bit of a cold streak going into this game. Although they’ve dropped their last two, they were still close games. So, you shouldn’t completely count them out going into this game based on their two game skid.

North Carolina’s biggest advantage going into this game is their offense. In nine out of their twelve games, they have scored over 30 points. They have plenty of firepower on the offensive side of the ball, and it feels like they can compete with any team with how good their offense is. However, they still have a tall task in front of them with Clemson’s defense, which should give North Carolina a very good test.

Winner Prediction: Clemson -7

Clemson seems to be the better team going into this game, and they’ll probably show that in this game.

North Carolina hasn’t been tested much this season, and Clemson might be able to pick them apart in this game.
