Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres Betting Odds Breakdown

The Los Angeles Dodgers are in San Diego to start a three game series with the Padres on Friday.

Los Angeles is coming into this game as the favorite at -1.5, and the over/under is sitting at 7.5 runs. Along with that, the moneyline is sitting at -130 for LA and +110 for San Diego.

Los Angeles Dodgers Preview

The Dodgers are 19-13 on the season, and that has them in first place in the NL West.

The Dodgers are on fire right now, and they will be looking to keep it going against San Diego. The Dodgers are on a six game win streak right now, and they have looked unstoppable in this six game stretch. They have been able to drive in runs very well, as they have driven in 40 runs in that span. If they can keep this up, which will be very hard to sustain, there is a good chance that they could win this one.

During this six game win streak, the Dodgers have had a combination of great hitting and great pitching, which in most cases, leads to success. The Dodgers have only let up 17 runs in their past six games, which will be very difficult to sustain, just like their hitting, but the Dodgers do have some great pitching, so it is possible that they can keep it going. But, the only problem is that the Padres have a great offense.

San Diego Padres Preview

The Padres are 17-15, and that has them sitting at third place in the NL West.

The Padres ended up getting the series win against the Reds in their last series, and there was one game in that series that seemed a little alarming for San Diego. In game two, the Padres were only able to push one run across the plate. And with how good their offense had been in the games before that, it’s odd to see that they were having problems with the Reds since their pitching has not been too great this season. But, as long as it doesn’t become a common thing, the Padres should be perfectly fine.

The Padres will have Joe Musgrove on the mound to start this series, and he has had an interesting two starts this season. He let up three runs in his first outing, and then he let up seven runs in 3.1 innings against the Giants, which turned out to be a very high scoring game with the Padres winning by the score of 16-11. Joe Musgrove was especially good last season in the playoffs, and it’s kind of difficult to predict what we should expect from him going into this game.

Winner Prediction: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5

With it being kind of difficult to predict how Joe Musgrove is going to pitch, a safe bet would be choosing the Dodgers to win this game. And with the hot streak they have been on, it’s very possible that they win this game either way.
