Philadelphia 76ers Vs. Atlanta Hawks Preview and Prediction (11/10/22)

Line: Hawks -1, 76ers +1
Total: 222.5

Philadelphia 76ers Vs. Atlanta Hawks Betting Odds Breakdown

Philadelphia has gotten off to a rough start this season, and they’ll want to help change that against the Hawks. Philadelphia took the season series last year 2-1, and they’ll be trying to do even better against them this year.

The Atlanta Hawks are coming into this game as the favorite at -1, and the over/under is sitting at 222.5 points.

Philadelphia 76ers Preview

Philadelphia is coming off of a nice win against the Phoenix Suns, and the Atlanta Hawks will be another test for this struggling 76ers team.

Against Phoenix, the 76ers played pretty well. But, they’re shooting percentage was concerning with them shooting just south of 40 percent from the field. That’ll be something that they have to clean up. What really got Philadelphia the win against Atlanta was how much they got to the free throw line. Throughout the game, the 76ers had 31 free throw attempts. This 76ers team is already very good at getting to the free throw line, and it could be even better for them against the Hawks with how physical players like Clint Capela are.

The biggest problem for Philadelphia has been the inconsistency of Tyrese Maxey. It could just be a phase for him with how young he is but the numbers he’s had these past two games are very concerning. For example, against the Suns, Maxey put up 11 points on 4-18 shooting. It wasn’t much better against the Knicks where he shot 10-29. This just really hurts the team, and it needs to be fixed with James Harden out for a month.

Atlanta Hawks Preview

The biggest question for the Hawks in this game is if Trae Young can become a consistent player again.

Young was out against the Bucks, but he did make a return against the Jazz, and he was pretty inefficient by shooting 10-27 from the field. Even though Young was out against the Bucks, they were still able to hand Milwaukee their first loss of the season. Luckily for the Hawks, Young’s injury seems to be minor, so it’s very likely that he will be back in time for the game against the 76ers. Dejounte Murray is also off to a hot start this season, and he’s been fun to watch in an Atlanta Hawks uniform. Atlanta has a lot of weapons, so they could be in a good position to win this game.

The best matchup in this game will be Clint Capela and Joel Embiid. Capela is a very physical and defensive player, and Embiid is someone that’s just able to do it all. So, it’s going to be fun to see if Embiid can overcome the adversity that is Clint Capela in this game. But at the same time, Embiid’s game is so diverse that it’s almost impossible for Capela to guard every move that he has. Capela isn’t too comfortable around the three point line, so Embiid can take advantage of that and get some offense in around there. Either way, this is going to be a good matchup.

Winner Prediction: Philadelphia 76ers +1

This is by no means an easy game for both teams, but a +1 bet on the Philadelphia 76ers here is not a bad bet.

Joel Embiid is an absolute great player, and he should be able to lead Philadelphia to a win over the Atlanta Hawks.
