Sacramento Kings vs. Brooklyn Nets Betting Odds Breakdown

The Sacramento Kings will be making a trip to Brooklyn to take on the Nets on Thursday.

Brooklyn is coming into this game as the favorite at -2.5, and the over/under is sitting at 237.5 points. Along with that, the moneyline is sitting at -140 for Brooklyn and +120 for Sacramento.

Sacramento Kings Preview

Sacramento has had a great season, with them sitting at 41-27, which has them at second place in the western conference.

The Kings have exceeded expectations by a lot this season, as they weren’t expected to be a very competitive team this season. But thanks to some great basketball, especially from De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, they have been able to put together a fantastic season. Fox and Sabonis look like they might be the duo for the future in Sacramento, as Fox is averaging close to 26 points, along with about four rebounds and six assists. Sabonis has arguably had the best year of his career this season, because he is averaging about 19 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. These two have mainly gotten the Kings to their 41-27 record, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them continue to improve.

Something that may end up being very good for Sacramento against Brooklyn is that they have been the best offensive team this season, as they are sitting at first place in the league for offensive efficiency. What’s so good about this is that Brooklyn hasn’t been the best defensive team in the league this season, as they are sitting at 14th in the league when it comes to defensive efficiency. This is something that can be huge for Sacramento, so we’ll have to see if Brooklyn ends up getting a little lazy on defense.

Brooklyn Nets Preview

The Nets are 39-30 on the season, which has them sitting at sixth place in the eastern conference.

Since the Kevin Durant trade, the Brooklyn Nets have been holding up pretty well, considering their team arguably got worse on paper. Since the trade, the Nets are 7-7, which isn’t terrible, but it could be better. They got a pretty good return from Phoenix for Durant, and even Mikal Bridges has been a great pickup for the Nets. In the games Bridges has played for the Nets, he is averaging about 26 points, five rebounds, and three assists. He has been a very solid pickup, and we’ll see if he can keep it up against the Kings.

The matchup that should be very fun to watch in this one will be between Domantas Sabonis and Nic Claxton. Nic Claxton is a pretty young player, and Domantas Sabonis will surely give him  a huge challenge down low. They are both very physical players, and that’s what is probably going to make this matchup so much fun to watch. Sabonis has been a pretty solid offensive player this season, and Nic Claxton has also been a great defender, as he has a defensive rating of 107.8 this season. These are two very good players, and it should be a fun matchup to watch.
