New York Knicks Vs. Brooklyn Nets Betting Odds Breakdown

New York Knicks Preview
The Knicks are off to a difficult start this season, and it’ll be difficult to turn it around against the Brooklyn Nets.
In most of New York’s losses this year, they always seem to have one quarter where they just completely collapse, with two of the more notable ones being against the Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers, where it pretty much cost them the game. Especially against the Hawks, where they were outscored 32-10 in the third quarter. And against the Brooklyn Nets with Kevin Durant, they cannot let something like that happen again. It’s just something that they’ll have to overcome as the season goes on.
That’s not their only problem, though. Their other problem is perimeter defense. Against the Boston Celtics on November 5th, they let Boston make 27 three pointers, which is a franchise record. And the Nets have some very good three point shooters on their roster, so they should be looking to take advantage of that. However, they were able to clean that up against the Timberwolves. But at the end of the day, New York just has to clean up their defense. If they can do that, they can put themselves in a position to win against the Brooklyn Nets.
Brooklyn Nets Preview
If you want to talk about teams that are under-performing, the Brooklyn Nets have to be in that conversation.
Other than Kevin Durant, the Nets don’t have much to be excited about. Kyrie Irving has been suspended due to the controversy he’s been in, and Ben Simmons has been injured and hasn’t played well in general, with him shooting about 44% from the field. Which is much less than his career average. The Nets have a lot of problems with their star players right now, and they need to find a way to fix it if they want to be a competitive team later on in the season.
The problem last year for Brooklyn was team chemistry, and it feels like they still have that problem. It almost feels like they play for themselves, rather than playing as a unit to get a win. Even the Kyrie Irving situation is showing the lack of team chemistry with the lack of communication with him and the front office. The Nets certainly have the talent to be a great team to contend, but they just have too many internal problems going on in the organization.
Winner Prediction: New York Knicks +2.5
Both of these teams have had a rough start to the year, but it seems like the Knicks should have the firepower to get by Kevin Durant and the Nets.
With how many problems this Nets team has so far this year, the Knicks should be able to get the win.
