New York Knicks Vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Odds Breakdown

The New York Knicks are in the middle of a west coast trip, and they will be taking on the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.

Golden State is coming into this game as the favorite at -6, and the over/under is sitting at 232.5 points scored.

New York Knicks Preview

The New York Knicks have gotten off to an alright start this season, and they could get a statement win over the Golden State Warriors.

As the season goes on, New York needs to find a way to shoot the ball better. The Knicks are sitting at 23rd for field goal percentage, and that’s just not enough to keep up with the contending teams in this league. However, the Knicks are still a team that’s growing and hasn’t seemed to reach their full potential. If they could add just a few more pieces to their team, the New York Knicks could be one of the most dangerous teams in the entire NBA. But for now, it’ll be difficult for their scoring to keep up with the Warriors.

The biggest problem for New York on defense is how many three pointers they give up. Per game New York let’s up the second most amount of points from three point range at 42.2. And when you are facing the Golden State Warriors, that’s not a good thing when they have two of the best shooters in NBA history on their team. This has been a problem for them throughout this young season, and cleaning that up against the Golden State Warriors will not be easy.

Golden State Warriors

Simply put, the Warriors might be one of the most disappointing teams to start this season, who are 6-8.

But for the Warriors, it looks like they have an advantage in this game since they are the home team. This season, Golden State is 6-1 while playing at their arena, while they are still winless on the road at 0-8. The Warriors have been a disappointment to start the season, but this is still a dangerous team. And as said above with how poor New York’s perimeter defense has been, this could be one of the best games that Golden State has had this season when it comes to shooting the ball. Stephen Curry is easily one of the most dangerous players in the league, and the Warriors should be ready to take advantage of the obvious weaknesses New York has.

Even though New York’s defense has been poor, they could still keep up with Golden State. New York scores around 115 points per game, while Golden State scores about 117 points per game. This could be a close matchup based on these two stats, and it only gets better for New York because Golden State’s defense hasn’t been too stellar, with them letting up about 117 points per game. This could end up being a close game.

Winner Prediction: Golden State Warriors -6

Simply put, the Warriors should be able to get the win just because their roster is better than New York.

Golden State has plenty of talent on their team, and you should expect them to get the win over the Knicks.
