Dallas Mavericks Vs. Los Angeles Clippers Betting Odds Breakdown
Dallas will be making a trip to Los Angeles to take on the Los Angeles Clippers.
Los Angeles is coming into this game as the favorite at -7.5, and the over/under is sitting at 221.5 points.
Dallas Mavericks Preview
Dallas is coming into this game just above .500, and they will be trying to takedown the Clippers in LA.
Dallas made a gigantic move over the weekend, with them acquiring Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets. This move for the Mavericks doesn’t only make them a better offensive team, this will give them a player that they can rely on in big moments other than Luka Doncic. Luka was relied on a lot, especially in close games, and Kyrie will definitely lighten the load that is on Luka’s shoulders.
Irving is expected to make his debut in this game, and he will be needed. The Clippers have a very solid defense, and with someone like Kyrie Irving now on the team alongside Luka, the Mavericks should become one of the better offensive teams in the league. Dallas is already a good offensive team, so the addition of Irving can make this offense elite. But once again, offense will not come easy against this Clippers’ defense.
Los Angeles Clippers Preview
The Clippers are sitting at 31-26 on the season, and they will be looking to improve on that against the Mavericks.
LA has not had the greatest season so far this year, but they are still the 4th seed in the western conference. The Clippers are going to have a tall task in this game defensively, but they are more than capable of playing good defense on a team like this. They have done it before, so we know that they can do it again.
The obvious advantage that LA has coming into this game is on the defensive side of the ball. But, they are definitely not a great team offensively. They are 22nd in the whole league for offensive efficiency, and they are 28th in the league for the most points scored per game at 111. They have not had a good offensive season this year, but players like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George might be able to lead them to a victory.
Winner Prediction: Los Angeles Clippers -7.5
Although Dallas added Kyrie Irving to the roster, the Clippers still feel like a better team going into this one.
The Mavericks still have some holes on their roster, and you should expect the Clippers to get the win over Dallas.
