Denver Nuggets vs. Miami Heat Betting Odds Breakdown

The Denver Nuggets are finishing up a three game road trip by taking on the Miami Heat.

Denver is coming into this game as the favorite at -2, and the over/under is sitting at 223.5 points.

Denver Nuggets Preview

Denver is coming off of a victory over the Charlotte Hornets, and they will be looking to continue their great season against the Heat.

The Nuggets can be a real threat to many teams when the playoffs come around. Nikola Jokic is continuing to play at a high level, and even had 30 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Hornets. Denver played very well all around against Charlotte, with just about everyone chipping in to help the Nuggets get the win. But, they do need to clean up one aspect of their game if they want to get the win in this one.

The problem for Denver their last time out was that they could not get their three point shot to fall, with them shooting 5/23 from three point range, which is 21.7% . But luckily for Denver, this isn’t something that happens very often to them, because they do lead in the whole league in three point percentage at 39.3%. Even though something like this doesn’t happen too often to the Nuggets, they do still need to address this so it doesn’t become a problem against Miami, because their perimeter defense isn’t too bad.

Miami Heat Preview

The Heat are coming off of a close win against the Orlando Magic, and they will have a tall task against the Nuggets at home.

The Heat have a pretty big challenge in front of themselves. The big thing for Miami right now is that they need to start getting healthy, because in this game, they will be without Kyle Lowry, Victor Oladipo, and Duncan Robinson, all who could contribute for Miami, especially on offense. But, they will need to find a way to stop Nikola Jokic, which no team has really been able to do up to this point.

Nikola Jokic has been phenomenal this year, and he could possibly win the MVP award for the third year in a row this season. Jokic mainly does most of his offensive work in the paint, and luckily for Miami they let up the least amount of points in the paint in the whole league, with it sitting at 44.8 points allowed. But either way, it won’t be easy to stop him because he is just that good. Even if they do push him out of the paint, they still have to be careful with his passing and his three point shot, because he is able to do both very well. This won’t be easy for Miami whatsoever, but they may not be completely out of hope in this one based off of that stat.
