Denver Nuggets Vs. Los Angeles Lakers Betting Odds Breakdown

The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers are meeting up for the third time this season, and the season series is tied 1-1.

Denver is coming into this game as the favorite at -1, and the over/under is sitting at 237.5 points.

Denver Nuggets Preview

The Nuggets are off to a solid start this season, and they’ll be looking to keep it going against the Lakers.

If not for Nikola Jokić, it’s difficult to tell where the Nuggets would be. He’s playing at an MVP level once again this season, and he has undoubtedly been the best player for Denver all season. Going into this game, he has already had two big games against the Lakers, so we’ll see if he can do it again against LeBron James and Los Angeles. LA got the win over Denver in the last game they played each other in, though. It was a difficult game for them defensively, and they’ll try to change that in this game.

In the last game when these two faced off, they had difficulty stopping the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They will definitely be making some changes to at least slow them down, so you should expect a much cleaner defensive game from Denver. But for the Lakers, they have had a bit of a sloppy start to the season, and they need to turn it around soon.

Los Angeles Lakers Preview

LA has not had a completely awful start to the season, but it feels like they have been disappointing for the talent they have on their roster.

One of the biggest problems that the Lakers have all around is that they have problems staying healthy. Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been questionable for many games throughout the season, and getting healthy should be a big focus for this team. If they can stay consistently healthy, they would be a great team, but it’s just not a reality as of now.

Another problem that LA has is that they do not have much depth on their team. Lonnie Walker has been a very pleasant surprise for the Lakers this season, but everyone else on that bench hasn’t contributed too much. If they could get some more pieces on that bench, that would help this team tremendously. And going into this game, that could be a problem for LA. Denver seems to be the deeper team, and they also seem to be the better team.

Winner Prediction: Denver Nuggets -1

The Lakers have taken some steps throughout the season, but it doesn’t seem like they are at the Nuggets’ level as of now. Denver seems like they are the better team right now, and you should expect them to get the win in Los Angeles.
