Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns Betting Odds Breakdown

The Denver Nuggets will be making a trip over to Phoenix to take on Kevin Durant and the Suns.

Phoenix is coming into this game as the favorite at -7, and the over/under is sitting at 223.5 points. Along with that, the moneyline is sitting at -280 for Phoenix and +235 for Denver.

Denver Nuggets Preview

Denver is coming into this game at 52-27, which has them sitting at the top of the western conference.

The Nuggets have been led by Nikola Jokic this season, and it is very possible that Jokic gets his third MVP award in a row. It is mainly between him and Joel Embiid right now, and it is tough to tell who is going to win it right now. But in the case of Jokic, it is crazy how valuable he is to the Nuggets. Denver is 5-7 when he isn’t playing, so he is huge for Denver on the amount of success that the Nuggets have throughout the season. Along with that, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Jokic and the Nuggets make their first deep playoff run in a while.

The last time the Nuggets met up with the Suns was just back on March 31st, and they took a loss to Phoenix by the score of 100-93. What was surprising about this one was how close they were able to keep this game even though Nikola Jokic was out. He made his return to the Nuggets against the Rockets the other night, but he is questionable for this game. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him not play since the Nuggets have clinched the western conference.

Phoenix Suns Preview

The Suns are coming into this game at 44-35, which has them sitting at fourth place in the western conference.

It has been very impressive on how impactful the addition of Kevin Durant has been for the Suns. When Durant plays for the Suns, Phoenix has a record of 7-0, and he has been averaging 26 points, six rebounds, and about three assists during the four games he has played for the Suns. We will see if Kevin Durant and the Suns can keep this up, but no matter what, it will probably end up being very difficult for them to continue their dominance like this.

The biggest thing for the Suns in this game is if they will be able to stop Nikola Jokic if he does end up playing. Luckily for them, they have a good defender down low in Deandre Ayton, but either way, it will not be easy to stop him. Jokic is undoubtedly one of the best players in the league, and it’s just about impossible for any team to stop him. It wouldn’t be surprising if Jokic doesn’t end up playing, but if he does, this should be a pretty competitive game.
