Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers Betting Odds Breakdown

The Phoenix Suns will be making a trip out to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers on Wednesday.

Phoenix is coming into this game as the favorite at -1, and the over/under is sitting at 227.5 points. Along with that, the moneyline is sitting at -115 for Phoenix and -105 for Los Angeles.

Phoenix Suns Preview

The Suns are coming into this game at 38-33, which has them sitting at fourth place in the western conference.

Phoenix dropped their last game to the Oklahoma City Thunder by the score of 124-120, and the biggest problem for them in that one was that they had some troubles not letting the Thunder get to the foul line. They committed 31 fouls throughout the whole game, which allowed the Thunder to take 36 free throw shots, in which they ended up cashing in on 29 of their attempts. They were outscored by 12 points from the free throw line, and they cannot be letting up that many free throw attempts per game if they want to win. The Lakers also aren’t a bad free throw shooting team, so they need to be careful with fouls in this one.

The Suns will once again be without Kevin Durant in this one, as it seems like he is struggling to stay healthy this season. He was out with a calf injury earlier in the season, and now he is going to be out for a little while with an ankle injury. On top of that, the Suns may also be missing Deandre Ayton in this one, who has been a big piece for their team defensively this season, especially in the paint. And if he’s out, their other big men will have to step big time if they want to try to contain Anthony Davis.

Los Angeles Lakers Preview

The Lakers are coming into this game at 35-37, which has them sitting at 10th place in the western conference.

The Lakers picked up a win in their last game over the Orlando Magic, and the best performer on their team that night was from an unlikely source in Austin Reaves. Reaves put up his career high against Orlando with 35 points, along with six rebounds and six assists. If he can do anything similar to that in this game against Phoenix, it’s very possible that the Lakers could get the win. And they will need him to step up again, because the Lakers are still dealing with the absence of LeBron James with a foot injury.

The last time the Lakers and Suns met up was back in December, and the Lakers fell to the Suns by the score of 130-104. The Lakers got dominated throughout the game, but when this game took place, the Lakers were without both LeBron James and Anthony Davis. In this game, the Lakers will still be without LeBron, but they will at least have Anthony Davis to lead their team in this one. Either way, this game is going to be very difficult for LA with LeBron out, because the Suns are a solid team and it’s difficult to beat any team when your best player is out. But, we’ll see how it goes for LA.

Winner Prediction: Phoenix Suns -1

It just seems like the Phoenix Suns are a better team than the Los Angeles Lakers going into this game.

Even with Deandre Ayton possibly being out, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Suns get the win here.
