Milwaukee Bucks Vs. Philadelphia 76ers Betting Odds Breakdown
The Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks will be facing off early on in the brand new NBA season. Philadelphia is coming off a loss against the Boston Celtics, and this will be the first game for the Milwaukee Bucks going into the season.
Last year, Milwaukee got the better of Philadelphia on each of the four occasions they played last season, so we’ll see if they can keep it up. Philadelphia is set as the favorite at -2, while the over/under is set at 224.5 points.
Milwaukee Bucks Preview
If the Milwaukee Bucks can stay healthy this season, then there is no reason that they are not a championship contender this season. Last season in the playoffs, Milwaukee was missing a key piece in Khris Middleton, so with him back, Milwaukee should be back to their strongest form.
The Bucks are such a difficult team to guard. Not only can they shoot threes pretty well, but they also have Giannis Antetokounmpo, who might be the hardest player in the league to guard. He’s tall, fast, and he can get to the paint pretty easily against any team. Joel Embiid could make an attempt to guard him, but it’s such a difficult task for anyone to handle.
Even though Milwaukee has a player that’s almost impossible to guard in Giannis Antetokounmpo, Philadelphia also has a very difficult player to guard in Joel Embiid. Embiid can do it all. He can shoot threes, play very solid defense, and he can also get to the free throw line at a very high rate. He’s a very good player that is difficult to stop no matter what, but the Bucks’ defense should be able to keep Embiid locked down at least a little bit.
Philadelphia 76ers Preview
The Philadelphia 76ers will be a team that will be difficult for everyone to handle. Joel Embiid will be looking to get the MVP after falling short of it last year, James Harden can still be a great player in the NBA, and Tyrese Maxey will be trying to take the next step in his career.
This game may just come down to defense. If the Bucks can find a way to stop Joel Embiid and James Harden, then they could put themselves in a great position to win. Giannis Antetokounmpo is able to guard any position, so he can really help out with making sure that Joel Embiid is kept in check.
The Bucks’ defense is very good, but Philadelphia’s offense is also good. Although they lost to Boston, James Harden had 35 points, Joel Embiid had 26 points, Tyrese Maxey had 21 points, and even Tobias Harris put up 18 points on the board. The only thing that was actually holding them back was their bench. If they can get their bench players going, then this should be a team that can cause problems for anybody.
Winner Prediction: Bucks +2
The Milwaukee Bucks are a really solid team, and it’s difficult seeing them losing even though they are playing in Philadelphia.
Giannis Antetokounmpo should continue to be a dominant player, and Joel Embiid has a chance to put on a show. It’s a possibility that this is a close game, but Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks should be able to get the win in their first game of the season.
