Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans (10/23 @ 1:00 PM EST.)

Line: Tennessee (-2)
Total: 42.5

Colts vs. Titans Breakdown and Betting Odds

The 3-2-1 Indianapolis Colts travel to Tennessee take on the 3-2 Tennessee Titans on October 23 for a Week 7 game beginning at 1:00 EDT.

The Titans are a 2-point favorite, and the over/under is set at 42.5.

These two teams are challenging each other in an otherwise ho-hum AFC South division that also includes the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans.

Despite it only being Week 7, these two teams have already met this season in Week 4. The Titans won the game by the score of 24-17.

Indianapolis Colts Overview

When quarterback Matt Ryan joined the Colts in 2022, there were grand expectations for an offense that already had a solid ground game with 2021 NFL rushing leader Jonathan Taylor. Things have not gone as smoothly as expected. Taylor missed the past two games with an ankle injury but barring any practice setbacks late in the week, he should be ready to play on Sunday.

The last time Taylor faced Tennessee in Week 4; he carried the ball 20 times for 42 yards so the Colts will need to switch things up to get him more involved in the game.

The Colts average an underwhelming 17.2 points per game.

The Week 7 PFF Power Rankings slot the Colts at 19th.

Tennessee Titans Overview

After opening the 2022 season 0-2 with losses to the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills, the Titans have changed course and ticked off three straight wins before their Week 6 bye.

The Titans defense has been tough against the run so that all season long and will look to stop Jonathan Taylor just as they did in Week 4.

In the Week 4 game, the Colts netted more yards and a longer time of possession, yet the Titans jumped out to a big 24-3 second quarter lead and held on to win 24-17.

PFF ranks the Titans at 9th in the Week 7 Power Rankings. Through five games, the Titans average 19.2 points per game.

My Free Pick: Titans (-2)

The Titans will have the homefield advantage in the second game between these two teams this season. The Titans won by 7 in the Week 4 meeting on the road and should cover the (-2) spread in Week 7.
