Brooklyn Nets Vs. Memphis Grizzlies Betting Odds Breakdown
The Brooklyn Nets will be making a trip to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies on October 24th. Memphis is coming off of a blowout loss against the Dallas Mavericks, and the Nets are coming off of a win against the Toronto Raptors.

Brooklyn Nets Preview
The Nets are coming off of a close win over the Toronto Raptors, and they’ll be looking to build on that.
Brooklyn played well against Toronto, and the main reason they won was because more players than just Kevin Durant contributed. In their first game of the season, only Kevin Durant really stepped up for Brooklyn, while everyone else didn’t play to their full potential, which led to a loss for Brooklyn. But this time, Kyrie Irving had 30 points, and even Nic Claxton put 19 points up on the board. The biggest key for the Nets going into this game against Memphis is playing as a unit. If they can do that, they can put themselves in a position to win any game they want this season.
The Nets have some superstars on their team, but they really do need to clean up their perimeter defense. Obviously, Kevin Durant is able to guard just about any position he wants, but everyone else seems to have trouble keeping up with perimeter defense. In fact, their defense as a whole isn’t too great. Other than Kevin Durant and Nic Claxton, Brooklyn does not have much size. And players like Ja Morant will attack weaknesses like those, and it could be difficult for the Nets to guard him.
Memphis Grizzlies Preview
Memphis is coming off a really difficult loss to the Dallas Mavericks, where they got blown out by the score of 137-96.
A loss like that is difficult for any team to bounce back from, but Memphis may be able to bounce back since this game will be in Memphis with the fans cheering them on. The Grizzlies’ loss to Dallas was a game that was ugly all around for Memphis. Their highest scorer was Ja Morant with 20 points, and everyone else kind of struggled. But, the Grizzlies did win their first two games, and that’s mainly because of Ja Morant. Morant put up 34 points in their season opener, and then he put up 49 points against the Rockets. If he can perform anywhere close to that level, the Grizzlies could have a very good chance to win.
Obviously, the Grizzlies’ defense was pretty bad against the Mavericks, with them letting up 137 points. And teams like the Brooklyn Nets will take advantage of those weaknesses very quickly. Kevin Durant is almost impossible for any team to guard, and Kyrie Irving is also difficult to guard for any team. But, they could have even more troubles if Brooklyn plays as a team. Team chemistry is a must for Brooklyn, and if they can grow as a unit, then Brooklyn can be a serious threat for teams this season.
Winner Prediction: Brooklyn Nets +2
Memphis is going to have a difficult time guarding Kevin Durant, and he could be a deciding factor in this game.
This game could end up being pretty close, but Brooklyn should be able to get the win in Memphis.
