Dolphins vs. Bills Key Stats
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins have been the most electric offensive team in the NFL this season as they are averaging 43.3 points on 552 total yards per game. A huge reason has been the production of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as he is 72-of-101 (71.3 completion percentage) for 1,024 yards with eight passing touchdowns and two interceptions. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill is definitely on pace for 2,000 receiving yards as he has 25 catches on 35 targets for 412 yards (16.5 yards per reception) wth four receiving touchdowns. This Dolphins team has only been forced to punt five times in their first three games so they are getting into scoring position and dominating. It is going to be difficult to stop an offense getting wide receiver Jaylen Waddle back from a concussion and just clicking on all cylinders.
The defense of the Miami Dolphins have been doing a decent job as they are 20th in the sport with 23.7 points per game allowed while also ranking 23rd in the NFL with 361.3 total yards per game. They are doing pretty well in terms of forcing the opposing offense as they have eight sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. They have to improve defending on third down attempts as they are 19-of-42 (45.24 percent) so far this season. They have been doing well with just a 3:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio up to this point and things should continue to go well here.
Buffalo Bills
The Bills have been doing extremely well as they are currently second in the NFL with 30.3 points and eighth with 383.3 total yards per game. They are running the football as they are seventh with 149.3 rushing yards per game so far. Quarterback Josh Allen has to continue playing well without the turnovers as he is 80-of-110 (72.7 completion percentage) for 728 yads with five touchdown passes and four interceptions and 12 rushes for 89 yards (7.4 yards per attempt) with a rushing touchdown but two fumbles (one lost). They are moving the chains incredibly well with 68 total first downs and going 21-of-41 (51.22 percent) on third down opportunities so it will be interesting to see how they do here.
The Buffalo Bills have been doing extremely well on the defensive side of the field as they are second with 11.7 points and 253 total yards per game up to this point. This defense is dominating as they have recorded 12 sacks and a NFL-leading seven interceptions as well as three forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries. Defensive end Leonard Floyd as he has been doing well with 3.5 sacks and three tackles for loss. If they can figure things out here, they will be in a great position going forward.
