Padres Vs. Dodgers NLDS Breakdown and Prediction

The San Diego Padres took down the New York Mets in their Wild Card series, and now, many people are looking forward to seeing if the Padres can upset the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Divisional Series.

Dodgers are the Best Team in the League

This season, the Dodgers have easily been the best team in the MLB. It was the Yankees for a while, but they cooled off and the Dodgers took over.

The Dodgers all around have a great roster. It doesn’t seem like they have a rough spot at any position on their team.

Going into the NLDS, the Dodgers have a choice of starting a fresh Clayton Kershaw or Julio Urias. Either way, Los Angeles should have the advantage when it comes to pitching since they have had about a week off since they won the NL West. The only difficult thing for the Dodgers is that they will be without Walker Buehler, who is out for the year after having Tommy John surgery.

The Dodgers’ hitting is just as good. For the players that we can assume will be on their playoff roster, they should be more than capable of scoring runs off the Padres. Some of the players like Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman, Gavin Lux, and Max Muncy should have a good time hitting against San Diego.

San Diego Has a Tall Task in Front of Them

Going into the playoffs, the Dodgers were the favorite to win the World Series, and with the talent that they have, we shouldn’t be surprised.

San Diego’s pitching might have a tough time handling LA. It’s not because their pitching is bad, but they might be a little tired after the Wild Card series. And along with that, LA has some great batters in their lineup.

This series should be competitive, though. The Padres have some great hitters including Juan Soto, who is on a hot streak with a batting average of .414 in his last eight games. Along with Soto, the Padres have Manny Machado who has three home runs in his last eight games with 10 RBI’s.

The Dodgers are really good, but San Diego also has a lot of talent on their roster.

Padres Vs. Dodgers in the NLDS: Who Wins?

The Dodgers are the heavy favorites going into this series.

Along with how good LA’s roster is and how much more rested they are than San Diego, the Dodgers should be able to get the series win.
