The NFL is over, the NBA is here, and March Madness is right around the corner. It has been a wild year for everyone especially in terms of betting. For a lot of you out there, football is over, that means betting is over. However, this month is key in setting yourself up for March Madness. There are a handful of you out there that avoid or disregard the NBA due to the late lineup changes, strange line movements, and the willingness to play.

Just think of it this way, if it is so hard to win, that means on the other it is so easy to win. Within the last few weeks line changes have meant everything and favorites are killing. Betting the NBA involves timing, knowing which games matter and which don’t. Players and high caliber organizations know when to really play, and when to take off. This is what kills people.

This month, right before the All-Star weekend, you will see a lot of players take a step back. We are pretty much at the half of the NBA season and players want to save themselves for when games really begin to matter. The top 5 teams of each conference are playing a chess game and making sure their top athletes do not get worn out by the time the playoffs arrive. You will notice the top stars of each team will have their minutes cut down. This is where the underdogs will start coming out on top, covering games and sometimes winning outright.

Look for the sneaky games like the one that occurred last night between the Suns and Clippers. You have a star studded high level team facing a hurt Clippers. Phoenix was a -12.5 favorite, but did they really come to play? Another one was the Bucks facing the Pacers, as Milwaukee was laying 14.5. Although Giannis played majority of the game and had a 50 bomb. There is no reason to stay in the game and try to gain a 20 point lead at this point in the season. Pay attention to these huge favorites and take advantage.
